90 Years, a Savannah Favorite
Byrd Cookie Company is celebrating 90 years in business, and they are doing it in a big way! Opening numerous locations in Savannah and Pooler, this beloved local cookie company is opening stores all along the east coast, from New York to Georgia.
In 1924, Ben T. Byrd, Sr. began his cookie business, baking cookies in his bakery and delivering them to neighborhood markets in his Model T Ford. It wasn’t long before the cookies and Mr. Byrd became famous to locals and visitors.
Check out Byrd Cookie Company at any of its three Savannah locations. Visit the factory store on Waters Avenue and smell the cookies baking the minute you step out of your car. Get a bite to eat at B. Tillman’s Restaurant & Bar located right next door.
Walking around downtown? Then don’t forget to stop by the City Market location to taste some samples, or BT Byrd’s @ Drayton Tower for a quick snake, hand-crafted soda, coffee, and of course, cookies!
